Peyto Lake as seen from Bow Summit, the highest point in Icefields Parkway (2085m/6840').

Peyto lake is a glacier-fed lake in the Waputik Range of Alberta Rockies. It is a part of the Banff National Park, accessed from the Icefields Parkway. The brilliant turquoise blue color comes from suspended glacial rocks.
A sight to see, indeed.

I struggle with color most of the times, but after a few tries I just give up and convert to black&white, it all seems to work better like that. This photo was a pain, because it just wouldn't look good as a b&w, but I don't know what to make if it like this.
